Our story
Ency Care was founded to give families across Hoddesdon and Hertfordshire a home care provider they could trust completely, one built on genuine relationships rather than rushed visits. We are a local team, based at our office on Plumpton Road, and every care plan we write starts with a conversation, not a form.
We work with families at some of the most difficult and important moments in their lives, when a parent, partner or relative needs extra support to stay safely and happily at home. We take that responsibility seriously.
Our approach to care
Care at Ency Care is person-centred, which means it is shaped around the individual, their routines, their preferences and their pace, not a fixed checklist of tasks. Every client receives a free at-home assessment before any care begins, so our team understands exactly what support is needed and how it should be delivered.

Our carers and training
Every Ency Care carer is recruited through a thorough process, including full background checks, references and structured induction training before they visit a client independently. Training covers personal care, safeguarding, moving and handling, medication support and condition-specific care such as dementia awareness.
Our carers reflect the diverse communities we serve across Hertfordshire, and every one of them wears an Ency Care uniform, so families always know who is at the door.
